Henry F Libbys Hand painted bisque porcelain statue of a girl with her two dogs, foot resting on a pouf rest. Titled Conquering Jealousy. Measures 13 x 8 in. Antique. Made in England. Created by Bostonian Henry F. Libby in the later 19th century. Libby was a Boston dentist and amateur sculptor that modeled porcelain on the side until his practice grew more successful. The porcelain itself was made in England by Robinson and Leadbeater which was a common practise in the early days of porcelain in the USA.
