A QUEEN ANNE CARVED GILTWOOD OVAL MIRRORIN THE MANNER OF JEAN PELLETIER, CIRCA 1710 Craved with Huguenot strapwork ornament, with a pierced cartouche surmount, flanked by scrolls, leaves and husks 108cm high, 70cm wideProvenance: Property from the Phillip Lucas Collection, Spitalfields HouseThe Pelletier family were French Huguenot carvers who fled religious persecution and settled in London in 1682. Their works can be seen in Boughton House, the V&A and the Royal Collection.
