"Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell, First Edition published by the Macmillan Company, New York, September 1936 print [The book was first published in May 1936, then the May printing was recalled, and the first official printing issued in June 1936.
The contemporary (1990s-2000s) color portrait of Margaret Mitchel is attached between the front endpaper and the half-title page [see photo].
The facsimile [copy] of the first state dust jacket is protected by the mylar cover. Original hard boards, Confederate-gray cloth [small damage at the bottom edge of the spine: see photo]; ca. 6" x 8.1/2", ink inscription on the front endpaper, title page fold, 1037 pages [all pages are present, a little soiling and wear [see photos]; very good condition.
