Folk Art Carved Wood Kneeling Woman Candle Stick Holder. Believed to be a representation of Lady Liberty and the gray area is actually the US Flag Draping her body (chipped paint reveals a light blue underneath). She is a lovingly made, expertly carved piece. it appears at some point she was converted to a lamp as the candle stick is drilled out inside but it was done in a very unnoticeable way and you cant tell unless you look for it - the base is missing a screw so the lady does move around a little and could use a replacement screw. paint is old, dry and chippy - she would be a Jewel of an addition to any Folk art collection.
