An antique Chinese late Qing to early Republic Era reverse glass painting, backed by board. A figural work depicting a dreamy young courtesan figure wearing period courtly garb, holding a hand mirror. No apparent signature. Sight size approximately 19" x 13". From the Chicago estate of American gallerist and philanthropist Maria McCormick (1937-2021).
Dimensions: 21.5 X 15.5 X 1 in.
Condition: Good overall condition, having normal surface wear, and small area of interior glass loss near top. Frame having moderate storage wear to edges and corners. Estate fresh to the market.
