Three Chanel Pieces: One Jacket, One Skirt Suit, 1985-90s  

After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as 'high fashion and high camp', Lagerfeld's reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century's visual lexicon.  

This lot contains one skirt suit and one jacket.  

THE FIRST  
Black twill jacket and skirt. The jacket is cut with a double breated button closure, square neckline, set-in sleeves, and two flapped hip pockets. The center front buttons feature gold-tone CC logos. The jacket is fully lined in black silk featuring woven CC logos. The skirt has a wide waistband, is fitted through the hip with two patch pockets and a flared and pleated hem. The skirt is lined with black silk featuring woven CC logos. The skirt closes down the center back with a zip and hook and bar closure.

THE SECOND  
Black crinkle-weave jacket trimmed with rose/pink silk satin around neckline, center front closure, covered buttons, the top of each pocket and along the hem. The front of the jacket and the front of the sleeve are cut in one piece. The back of the jacket and the back of the sleeve are cut in one piece. The jacket is fully lined with black silk that features woven CC logos.

THE FIRST  The overall condition is good with a minor snag on the left front shoulder of the jacket and the lining showing signs of wear under each arm on the exterior and lining. One of the two buttons at the center front waist of the jacket is cracked.  THE SECOND  The overall condition is good with some minor wrinkles under each arm from wear and some faint wear in the lining under each arm.    Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
