Description
A miniature George III mahogany slant front desk, first quarter 19th century, possibly retailed by Abraham Forest, Arch Street, Philadelphia, the hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior with three pigeon holes over two small drawers, having three drawers below, raised on tall bracket feet, a similar example is in the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library Collection; 1964.1514, Bequest of Henry Francis du Pont.

Condition
With typical marks, wear, small losses and minor repairs throughout. Appears to retain its original brass escutcheons and pulls. The front left bracket foot facing is replaced, the right front bracket foot facing with an old break and repair. Evidence of old wood worm. With key.
