Gabriel Leekey, London, an 18th century verge pocket watch with date, key wind and set, gilt full plate fusee movement with verge escapement, pierced and engraved two footed balance bridge and regulator plate, and square baluster pillars, roman numeral arcaded silver champleve dial with gold rosettes, arabic outer five minute markers, signed center with House of Stuart coat of arms, date aperture above 6:00, and gold hands, in a sterling silver repousse pair case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1771, 50mm
Condition
CASE: Repousse with wear; Catch button with losses; Inner case with shallow dents and dings; Hinge with loss to leftmost tube; Bow replaced, loose; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Minor marks and fine scratches; Two rosettes replaced. HANDS: Minute replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; More significant scratches and marring at pillar holes; Shallow dents at winding arbor; Top plate with hole through end of signature; One pillar with marring from fusee chain; Movement catch, spring and screw with oxide; Fusee iron spring and screw also with oxide; Dirty.
