A Rare 20-Bore Flintlock 1738 Pattern Land Service Pistol
By Jordan, Dated 1743
With shortened darkly russet barrel and tang, darkly russet border engraved rounded lock (jaws and jaw screw missing) with 'GR' crowned and signed and dated across the tail, figured moulded full stock (old split in front of the lock) with shallow apron around the barrel tang, regulation brass mounts (side-plate an old copper replacement) including spurred pommel and shaped vacant escutcheon, brass rear ramrod-pipe, and later wooden ramrod, indistinct King's proof marks
