Beginning in 1931, Hayter made numerous year-end holiday cards. These works act as a survey of his artistic concerns, practices, and styles, ranging from black-and-white Surrealist-inspired works to Op art pieces. Most were printed in (unnumbered) editions of around one hundred and sent to friends and family, often with inscriptions. Size: 4.4'' x 3.1'', 11 x 8 cm (image); 5.5'' x 4'', 14 x 10 cm (sheet).
