Iscayo Woman's Shawl Mantle, Pacajes Region, Mid-19th C. Natural dyes, alpaca. Classic womanâ€™s mantle used by the Tallamama during her service in office. Very well balanced and executed, this type of garment was common, in a variety of styles, to most Aymara groups with regional variations indicating the tribe involved in its manufacture. Size: 4'2'' x 3'6'' (127 x 107 cm).
