An Arussi or Oromo Shield Ethiopia, c. 1950 Made of stretched cow hide. Embossed with raised ribs and alternating oval bosses radiating from a central vertical spine, fine tooled surface. Pierced through for attachment of leather grip on verso, old indigenous repairs. A varied black patina overall. In very good condition.
