Condition

The canvas has been lined. The paint surface appears thin in areas. Visible stretcher marks and rubbing to some of the framing edges. There is a dirty and discoloured varnish. UV light inspection rendered difficult due to varnish layer however there is some evidence of overpainting and retouching to the sky and to the lower half of the sea, some of which is visible to the naked eye.
