A rare Chinese Kesi weave unmade long pao Dragon robe, Qing Dynasty, circa 1850, woven with nine blue scaled dragons upon a silver thread woven ground, the dragons with five claws (except the one on the inside flap) the body exudes green flames, approximately 280cm x 108cm Very few robes were embroidered or woven with silver thread as silver was considered a more precious metal than gold in court costume production in the Qing court. The unmade robe is mid 19th century, most details are woven with some highlighted painted detail on the bats and auspicious symbols on the lishui water and wave pattern. 约清1850年 缂丝银线绣彩云龙纹袍
