Description
One sided Interior Sign on a salvaged mahogany panel having molded edge, with painted bottle of Matthew Gloag & Son Extra Special Old Scotch Whiskey, Perth, Scotland. Gilt pinstriping, lettering t bottom reads "Presented to the Sheep Heid Inn, Edinburgh, Matthew Gloag & Son, 1931. 51 1/2" x 25" x 3 1/2". Good condition. Includes book: "Famous for a Reason; The Story of the Famous Grouse" by Charles Maclean, the history of the Gloag brewery is included.The Sheep Heid Inn is a public house in Duddingston, Edinburgh, Scotland. There has reputedly been an inn on this site since 1360.
