Rare Large Chinese 19th Century 6 Panel Huali Wood & Glass Lantern in mortise & tenon construction, originally folding around a central hanging stem with wood double gourd vase shaped top now with bronze ring electrified with 6 "candle" branch fittings; each glass framed to top and bottom with pierced, shaped light yellow hard wood with a carved crest to tops of facing Dragons, a Descending Bat and Shou Roundel; the 6 sides with "C" curved standing legs with oval supports. Height to top of center ring 36 1/4 inches (92 cm.). Diameter 26 1/2 inches (67 cm.).

Age related wear to joins and minor losses, 4 of the top 6 crests loose, the 6 side support legs originally with 12 oval supports with 6 attached, 2 of which have small losses, 3 are loose and the others missing.
