In 2005, Patek replaced the Ref.5035 with the Annual Calendar Ref.5146. With the second generation Annual Calendar, Patek brought about a host of changes. Firstly, the case size grew to 39mm - a more fitting size for the market's demand for larger men's watches. The 24-hour indication of the 5035 was replaced with a moon phase and Patek also introduced a power reserve display. The current lot is from the range of 5146 which operated with the calibre 315 before being later replaced by the calibre 324 S IRM QA LU.
