Description
A vintage oil painting on board after the original oil painting on canvas, 1888, by Vincent Van Gogh, Belgian, French, 1853 to 1890. Inscribed, Vincent, lower to the center. Framed. Stamped, Made in Mexico, on the back. Sunflowers is the title of two series of still life paintings by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. The first series, executed in Paris in 1887, depicts the flowers lying on the ground, while the second set, made a year later in Arles, shows a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase. In the artist's mind both sets were linked by the name of his friend Paul Gauguin, who acquired two of the Paris versions. Vincent Willem van Gogh, Dutch, 1853 to 1890, was a Dutch Post Impressionist painter who posthumously became one of the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. One of a kind artwork.
