This lot consists of an unframed oil painting on loose canvas, done in the expressive style of Vincent Van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890). Image depicts a vase of brilliant sunflowers, overflowing with life and golden tone. "Vincent" is hand-painted within the details of the vase. This is the perfect example of the vivid, Post-Impressionist manner for which Van Gogh is so well respected. A truly magnificent to any collection of art, framed with taste and truly a timeless pleasure to the eye. Unframed measurements approximately 38.5" x 31".

Reverse side of canvas features an affixed paper label which reads, "Vincent Van Gogh. 'The Sunflowers'", as well as two identical stamps which read, "Certificacion".

Vincent Willem van Gogh was a major Post-Impressionist painter. He was a Dutch artist whose work had a far-reaching influence on 20th-century art. His output includes portraits, self portraits, landscapes and still lifes of cypresses, wheat fields and sunflowers. Van Gogh drew as a child but did not paint until his late twenties; he completed many of his best-known works during the last two years of his life. In just over a decade he produced more than 2,100 artworks, including 860 oil paintings and more than 1,300 watercolors, drawings, sketches and prints.
