Description
Near East, Turkey, Anatolia, ca. 4000 to 3000 BCE. A very unusual kilia idol, carved from a thin piece of grey schist with light grey and white inclusions, depicting an abstract anthropomorphic body with curved shoulders, arms to the sides terminating in pointed 'hands', and a long triangular trunk, suggesting it represents a female - as was the case for the majority of idol figures. Size: 2.125" H (5.4 cm); 2.625" H (6.7 cm) on included custom stand.
