(2) Hand Painted photographs of parades. One boudoir card photo (7" x 9.75") of the Washington Centennial Civic Parade, 1889 showing policemen in horse-drawn vehicle and firemen with their fire pumper; second image has the following written on verso: "Americans striking Display of Regimental Colours at the Peace Celebration in London on Aug. 19, 1919. Coyped [sic] & Painted by John S. Powell, Sept. 1, 1919; third photo has written on verso: "Hawaii Day at Sesqui. Marines Parading at the Navy Yard. Dewey's Flagship Olympia, was at Battle of Manila. Copyed & Painted by John S. Powell, 409 Lincoln Ave., Moore PA. Painted on Aug. 1, 1926." Boards on the last two images measure 8" x 10." One has a corner chipped off. From the estate collection of Richard G. Miller's 19th & 20th century hand painted, coloured & tinted photography.
