DESCRIPTION: Antique Vietnamese ceremonial guom saber featuring a brass blade with double fullers and chased scroll designs, a crossguard and knuckle bow with smoke motifs leading to a brass zoomorphic head, and an ebonized wood handle inlaid with mother of pearl forming depictions of flying dragons at each side. The lacquered wood scabbard has silver overlaid at the tip, midsection and base etched with foliate scroll designs throughout, and the wood is inset with mother of pearl forming depictions of flowers and foliage.

CONDITION: Wear consistent with age. Patinated. Some oxidation at the crossguard. Split at the knuckle bow. Scratching to the blade and some deformation. Some deformation to the silver at the tip.
