BRITISH SCHOOL INTERIOR OIL SCENE (19TH CENTURY)
Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Interior scene with two figures, a nursemaid in apron at a large hearth before a man reclined with tea in a wheelchair beside a cluttered windowsill. Gilt frame, label to verso for Chapman Bros. London.
Stretcher: 25 x 30 1/4 in. (63.50 x 76.84 cm.), frame: 34 1/4 x 39 1/2 in. (87 x 100.33 cm.)

Condition
There is a horizontal line of 'crackling' about 7 inches long from the left side coming out along the top of the teapot on the table (photographed). There is a 'flake' loss near the lower left corner of the work (photographed). And there is an image of a white spot just behind the woman's head, and that seems to be part of the painting and NOT a loss.
