Description:

James Oglethorpe, Copperplate Engraving from the Catalogue of the Wymberley Jones De Renne Georgia Library at Wormsloe, True First Printing, Sept. 9th, 1785, a copperplate engraving of General James Oglethorpe, published Sept. 9th, 1785, by I. Cary No. 188, Strand, drawn by S. Ireland, with pencil inscription on verso 'Laid paper, true first printing, 1785, DeRenne copy is wove paper and without inscription above line, acid free mat' and copy of page from 'Catalogue of the Wymberley Jones De Renne Georgia Library... Vol. III' attached on verso, matted and framed. Frame size: 16 1/4 in. x 18 in.

Measurements: Height: by sight 8 3/4 in. x Width: 6 1/2 in.

Condition
Overall good condition, faint toning to paper, minor foxing, possibly trimmed, frame separating at corners, not viewed out of frame.
