A NEAR PAIR OF REGENCY SILVER SOUP TUREENS, London 1814, mark of Benjamin Smith and London 1828, mark of Joseph Angell, of circular baluster form, the domed lids with cast foliated ring handles and reeded borders above a shell and gadroon rim and twin handles raised on four foliate scroll and paw feet, both lids and bodies engraved with the Rosse coat-of-arms, (299 troy ozs all in). 36cm long over handles, 29cm high Lots 437 - 442 are sold on the instruction of The Trustees of the Earl of Rosse. The crests and armorials are those of the parson's family, or their connections
