Description
This key lot contains six Union Pacific RR brass keys, with five different key cuts, and one key is often mistaken for a Union Pacific key. The first key is for the Union Pacific and Motive Power and Car, and is stamped “UPandMPandC.” These were made by Fraim/Slaymaker, but the key does not have a maker’s mark. The second key is stamped “UPT” on the front, but is actually for the Union Passenger Terminal. It is key number 523 and is stamped “ADLAKE” on the back. Keys three and four are stamped “UPRR” and “UP” on the front, as well as “ADLAKE” on the back, but are of the same cut. The fifth key is a smaller key, stamped “U.P.RR” on the front, and has a different cut. The last two keys are of the same cut, stamped “UP” on the front, and “ADLAKE” on the back.
