An amazing survey of what the future looked like in the 1920's. Particularly striking are the dreams of a modernist Soviet Union as envisioned by Le Corbusier and others. The first volume in Charles Moreau's series L'Art International d'Aujourd'hui, and the first volume of two dedicated to large-scale modernist construction. Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945) was an influential French architect of the modernist school.
Condition
Portfolio joints splitting, corners bumped, some. toning and soiling to boards, front tie shortened; plates toned somewhat, light edgewear; very good.
