Albert J. Kramer (American 1908 - 1991) Gouache on paper, fanciful landscape with greek ruins, mid century, signed lower left "Kramer", with artist's label on reverse, in gilt wood frame, glazed. 15lbs Albert John Kramer was born in Ohio on May 7, 1908. Kramer was an interior decorator in Cleveland, Ohio in 1930. He lived in New York for a few years where he was a member of Associated American Artists that sold his works through department stores and mail order. He later settled in Los Angeles became active in the local art scene. He painted in a naïve or primitive style á la Grandma Moses to produce scenes of Americana, and signed his works with only his last name. Approx.
