(Marvel, 1961-1962) An extremely rare collection of issues 1 thru 14 of Amazing Adventures and Amazing Adult Fantasy. This book famously was retitled Amazing Fantasy for its 15th and final issue, which featured the debut of Spider-man in the most sought-after single comic of the silver age. The early series is valued by collectors as the birthplace of the Marvel Comics Era, and as prime examples of Stan Lee’s "Marvel Method" of collaboration with Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, and other classic Marvel artists. Lee would give the artist a one-line description of the plot, and the artist would draw it the pages of action, with Lee filling in the dialogue to fit.
