Teddy Roosevelt bronze relief plaque, 12.5” x 7.5”, with handsome, 3/4 profile bust, and excerpted speech quote, with raised letters and facsimile signature at bottom. The excerpted quote is from a speech he gave before the Hamilton Club, Chicago, IL, April 10, 1899: “I wish to preach not the doctrine of ignoble ease but the doctrine of strenuous life, the life of toil and effort, of labor andstrife; to preach that highest form of success that comes, not to the man who desires mere ease and peace, but to him who does not shrink from danger, hardship, or bitter toil, and who, out of these wins the splendid ultimate triumph.” Veryrare type Teddy Roosevelt plaque!
