Oil painting on wood panel signed G. Flight '74 depicting a marine scene titled verso CONFEDERATE RAIDER 'ALABAMA' OVERHAULING A UNION MERCHANT VESSEL OFF GALVESTON 1863, built at Laird's Shipyard in Birkenhead. 21 X 30 in, framed 24 x 32.5. (Graham Flight b. 1944 is American marine painter). NOTE: The CSS Alabama claimed 65 prizes worth over 6 million dollars in 2 years as a commerce raider. She was sunk in 1864 by the Union ship Kearsage.
