Mikhail Larionov, Russian, Soviet, French, 1881 to 1964, gouache painting on paper depicting a still life with table wares. Signed lower right. Framed. Mikhail Larionov was a painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, theater artist. Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, 1898 to 1910, intermittently, under A. E. Arkhipov, V. A. Serov and K. A. Korovin. Initiator of the opening of the first exhibition Bubnovy Valet or Jack of Diamonds, 1910, exhibitions Osliny Khvost or Donkeys Tail, 1912, Mishen' or Target, 1913, Futurists, Luchists, Primitives, 1914. The creator of the theory of Luchism, one of the first experiments in non objective art. One of the leading artists of S. P. Diaghilevs enterprise. From 1919 he lived permanently in Paris. One of a kind artwork.
