Circa 1860 figural face bottle with incredible detail. Attributed to Alabama. 8"H x 5"W. A classic face vessel example from the 19th century. Even though Edgefield has the most central and well-documented tradition of face vessels, so many other states were also had potteries creating their own interpretations of face pots. Overall excellent; small chip to the bottle lip, chip to one ear, and tiny flakes/nicks off the opposite ear.
