Description
This is a lot of Ten (10) Arkansas treasury warrants in the amount of $10 each. The note says the State of Arkansas will pay $10 to the bearer. It is signed by L.B. Cunningham and was printed by J.D. Butler of Little Rock. This note features a portrait of Samuel Adams at the center surrounded by books and an ink well (This is not "the" Samuel Adams, but rather a gentleman who served as a state senator, interim governor, and state treasurer of Arkansas. He passed away in 1850). In the left panel is a Vignette of Slaves picking cotton between "TEN" panels. A small dog bisects the date-line and the signature.These Civil War era notes vary in condition. Ships from Houston, Tx.
