A Dieppe finely carved figure of The Goose Man Fountain in Nuremberg Germany, the standing figure shown holding a brace of geese atop a naturalistic ground raised overall atop a stepped socle. Germany, circa 1860. Overall height 7". Note: The Goose Man Fountain was designed & created in 1550-60 by German artist & sculptor Pankraz Labenwolk (1492-1563), and was originally located in the town's Gänsemarkt 'Goose Market'.
