Description
Created by Oliphant in May 1979, a few weeks before NASA's "Skylab" reentered Earth's atmosphere and crashed over the Indian Ocean/Australia (July 11, 1979). The main caption reads, "Well, I suppose we have to disregard our earlier computations..." with three NASA engineers at the bottom right adding, "TRUST US--THERE'S NO DANGER." Appears to be an early cartoon for the Washington Star with notes on verso. Ink and paint on paper. Matted but not framed.
Very good; mat slightly age-toned.
Paper dimensions: w 17.25 in x h 11.5 in. Mat dimensions: w 21.5 in x h 17 in.
