A BLUE-GLAZED GILT-DECORATED VASE
Guangxu six-character mark and of the period
The globular body and tall trumpet neck risiing on a straight ring foot and decorated in gilt with two powerful cavorting dragons contesting a flaming jewel surrounded by a field of clouds and over stylized waves, a band of fronted lotus and shou characters on the shoulder below a tapered neck of flying bats and shou medallions under a flared, gilt rim, the recessed base also glazed blue with the six-character mark in gilt.
