possibly Shang period, circa 1600-1100 BCE, white to cream jade with carved concentric circles, 9 in. diameter; with metal stand, dimensions on stand 10-5/8 x 9 x 2-1/2 in.; in associated wood box, 3-1/4 x 11 x 11 in. [Asian Ceramics]
Note: Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity from Gu Fang, Senior Fellow of the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), dated 7/16/09 attributing the disc to the late Shang period.
