Description
A sterling silver spice tower representing a stone house with a violin player sitting on the roof. The figurine is footed, the pierced base has an inscription in Hebrew on all four sides. Hallmark Stg. 925, Made in Israel is on the bottom. Total weight: 98 grams. Spice tower is a special container for spices and herbs used by the Jewish people on Shabbath and other religious holidays. Since the 16th century this type of box was usually executed in the form of a tower or a house, hence the name of the item. Collectible Judaica Silverware, Rare Vintage Tableware.
