Alexander Samoilov, Russian, b. 1950, black and white photo print of a pearl. Circa the late 1980s. Matted. Alexander Victorovitch Samoilov was a photographer at the Mosfilm studio, where he worked with such famous film directors as Andrei Konchalovsky and Rustam Khamdamov. From 1978 until the collapse of the Soviet Union he collaborated with a number of publishing houses. His works appeared on the pages of the magazines Premier, Official, Elle. Russian Photography Art Collectibles. Provenance: Anna Feltsman Estate. Feltsman family: Oscar Feltsman 1921-2013 was a Russian Ukrainian-born composer of Lithuanian Jewish descent. He was the father of Vladimir Feltsman, born in 1952 a Russian-American classical pianist. Anna Feltsman was the first wife of Vladimir Feltsman.
