Description
James Madison (1751-1836) 4th President. 12” x 15” three-page, partially printed vellum document signed, Washington December 24, 1810. The document is a patent issued to Chauncy Hall for a “Diving Dress.” The patent is counter-signed by Secretary of State Robert Smith (1757-1842) and Attorney General Caesar A. Rodney (1772-1824). There is some fading to the text, signatures are legible. The blue ribbon and seal are present, the document are achivally encapsulated.
