36.5 x 41cm framed The painting is executed in oil on a hardboard support. The edges of the hardboard are fragile and losses are forming where the nails holding the painting in the frame are positioned. The artist has used the textured side of the board to paint on, mimicking the texture of canvas. The artist has applied a pale pink priming layer to the support which has been used as a mid-tone in the sky and is visible around the edges of the buildings. There are a few losses to the paint layer, in the sky as well as in a patch of green at the lower left side. There are also losses around the edge of the painting where the hardboard support has degraded.
