Born on the 31st of March 1910, this inquisitive British artist has been thought to be self taught but, in fact, had received the guidance from Bertam Priestman. R.A. The uncommonly beneficial training he received from working and touring with the circus and Ballet in London in 1930 overshadowed his brief encounter with Bertam. From an observer's standpoint he was able to mimic and develop his own technique where he could capture the movement and light of the figures before him. He published several books based on his time there, but as more of a benefit, gained the reputation as a postimpressionist.

During this time, he got his first painting accepted into the Royal Academy for their Summer Exhibit. After years of traveling and personal development, he gained the insight and technique deserving of any distinguished artist. Through his travels he painted scenes from Hong Kong, France, Sardinia, Italy, Morocco, and Portugal to list a few.

His artwork, since his first exhibit, was exhibited in such locations as London, Glasgow, New York, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, Oslo and Brussels. His works are featured in the Fine Arts Museum of San Fransisco.
