RARE GEORGE W. CHILDS CIGAR REVERSE PRINTER’S PROOF FROM C.W. SHONK ARCHIVES. Late 19th, early 20th century. The Charles W. Shonk Lithography Co. prepared for manufacturer Harburger, Homan & Co. of N.Y. and PA. George William Childs (1829-1894) was publisher, philanthropist and co-owner of the Philadelphia Public Leger Newspaper. The sign shows a full box of George W. Child’s cigars in a humidor kept behind lock and key with the cigars namesake pictured on the inner box label and again within a small frame. SIZE: Sight: 9-3/8” x 13-1/4” w. Overall: 16-1/2” x 20-1/2”. CONDITION: Excellent
