30's/40's trip around the world quilt, all hand pieced and hand quilted, with a scalloped edge and 6,813 postage stamp pieces measuring just under 1" per side. The quilt measures 74" X 88" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the perimeter of each piece throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid green, and the batting is thin. A cotton sleeve is attached to the back, making this one suitable for use a wall hanging. Some provenance also included on the back.
