Description
Huntley & Palmer cannon biscuit tin. Embossed and lithographed cannon on four wheels. All original. One side of the base of the cannon has a picture of HMS Victory at Portsmouth, 1814 printed on it. The illustration on the other side is HMS Victory at Trafalger, 1805, where the British, commanded by Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson, emerged victorious against the combined French and Spanish fleets in October 1805, commemorated in England as Trafalgar Day. The tin was made in honor of Lord Nelson. It is dirty and the metallic paint on the cannon is pitted. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 5 - 1/2" x 4 - 1/4" x 3 - 1/4".
