Ronald Jordan Double Face Pot Catawba Valley NC Pottery

Item Details

Description

A version of the story from Lot #142. Ronald Jordan would occasionally put some funky faces on Joe's pots, sometimes do incised decoration, and help him fire his kiln. It is possible that Joe simply forgot to sign this former jug or Jordan signed it. But it can very clearly seen that the top of the pot was sliced off very as greenware. Only Ronald Jordan signed it and dated 1996. One one side is two partial faces and on the reverse a more somewhat normal face (there is a tiny firing line coming down from that side in the middle for about an inch). Stands 10.5" tall.

Condition

ALL POTTERY IS IN EXCELLENT AS FIRED CONDITION UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION.
