CARTIER: ENAMEL AND AGATE DESK CLOCK, CIRCA 1910
Of circular outline, the white guilloché enamel surround with white enamel borders, between white and gold enamel cylindrical batons with moonstone finials, on a rectangular agate pedestal base, the white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and outer minute track, rose-cut diamond arrow hands, base possibly later modified, mechanical winding movement, signed Cartier, numbered 3783 .2312., lengths: clock 4.5cm, base 5.0cm

Condition
Under 10x magnification, some very small bubbles seen throughout the guilloche enamel, and a small crack to the enamel of the side section. The cream enamel to the baton finials is slightly uneven, the gold decoration worn away in places (possibly re-enamelled), and with remnants of glue where they join the hardstone base. The metal place that sits beneath the agate not as finely executed and possibly later added to reinforce the agate. Winding plate with Cartier signature and numbers in good original condition (possibly with replaced screws).

Dial: good enamel dial
Hands: Heavily tarnished
Glass: Good
