DST. Scarce and highly sought after CA. 1940's Tin Service Station Sign from Husky Gasoline showing a large Husky Dog graphic with Northern Lights. Sign is mounted in its original iron ring and is in as found condition. CONDITION: Side one is overall excellent showing very good color & gloss with a clean Husky Dog graphic as well as Husky script. Side one shows a few minor surface scratches in the center field as well as some minor streak staining at the upper left edge. Side one shows some minor paint wear at the top right edge but overall very clean and should improve with cleaning, Grade 8.5+. Side two also shows very good color & gloss throughout showing a very clean Husky Dog graphic. Side two shows some minor chalkiness in the Northern Light graphic that should clean up as well as some minor surface scratching. Side two shows some minor paint wear at the upper left edge but overall displays very well, Grade 8.25+. The original iron ring shows remnants of the original paint and shows an excellent patina that displays with the Sign well. One of the finest examples of this sign we have ever sold and an outstanding piece of rare Service Station Signage with outstanding display power.
