DST. A very early and scarce piece of Circa 1920's Tin Advertising from Shell Gasoline. This is an unusually tough to find piece in collectible grade and this is one of the finest examples known. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent colors throughout the field showing a mint condition Clamshell graphic as well as clean lettering. Sign shows some overall crackling in the red paint giving the piece an excellent aged look. The outer edge shows some minor paint loss but is free of any major damage, Grade 8.5+. Side two also shows excellent color throughout showing a clean Clamshell graphic as well as clean lettering. Side two shows some minor areas of paint loss in the outer field as well as some minimal wear along the outer edge but overall very clean, Grade 8.25+. This is a very early and crudely made piece and not many examples survived especially in as high grade as this one. A beautiful piece of early and unique Shell Gasoline Tin Signage.
